04FAQ

Everything you would ask before paying.

What the tool produces, what each plan actually unlocks, and how credits are spent.

AThe product
What does BowlerLaunch actually produce?

One submission package per app: screenshot decks at every resolution the App Store and Google Play demand, app icons and splash screens in each native variant, the Google Play feature graphic, store listing copy (title, subtitle, keywords, description), and privacy policy and terms drafts. Everything downloads as an organized bundle with store-ready filenames.

What do I need before I start?

One logo, raw in-app captures straight from a simulator or device, and a rough description of what the app does. No mockups, no device frames, no polished marketing assets, no design file.

Do I have to accept whatever the AI generates?

No. The AI proposes a first pass — layout, copy, colors, device framing, ordering — and everything lands in an editor you can change. Editing is unlimited and never costs credits; only regenerating with AI does.

How does multi-language output work?

Pick the storefront languages you support and the same app facts get adapted into screenshots and listing copy for each one, instead of you re-briefing a translator per locale. Studio and BowlerKit are unlimited. Free Preview is capped at 1 language because every extra locale multiplies AI cost — unlocking an app with a Launch Pass lifts that cap for that app, and you add the extra locales from its settings.

Are the privacy policy and terms good enough to submit?

They are drafts generated from your real answers about data collection, permissions, and third-party SDKs — a solid starting point that satisfies the store questionnaires rather than legal advice. Review them (with counsel if your app handles sensitive data) before you publish.

Can I reuse a design on my next app?

Save any screenshot composition as a template and apply it to another app without losing its copy, captures, locales, or identity. You get 3 saved templates on Free Preview, 10 with a Launch Pass, and 50 on Studio or BowlerKit.

Can it upload to the stores for me?

Not yet — direct publishing to Google Play and App Store Connect is in progress. Today you export the finished bundle and upload it yourself; the filenames and folder structure already match what each console expects.

How big can an export get?

Production exports are assembled on the server in the background, so you can keep working while a bundle builds, and each export job accepts up to 1 GB of source assets. Free Preview exports are assembled in the browser and carry a watermark.

BPlans & billing
What can I do without paying?

Free Preview gives you 30 one-time AI credits, 1 app workspace, 3 saved templates, and one language — enough to generate a complete launch and judge the output. Exports are watermarked samples. No card required.

Launch Pass or Studio — which one is for me?

Launch Pass is $39 once and unlocks a single app permanently: 60 credits scoped to that app, full-resolution export, and it keeps working forever. Studio is $29/month for 300 credits every month across up to 10 workspaces. Shipping one app this year? Launch Pass. Shipping or updating regularly? Studio.

Is the yearly plan just a discount, or do I get credits up front?

$240/year works out to $20/month against $29 monthly. Credits are still granted monthly — 300 at the start of each calendar month, not a full year's worth on day one.

Can I hold a Launch Pass and a subscription at the same time?

Yes, and they do not interfere. A Launch Pass unlocks its own app with its own credit pool; Studio covers your other workspaces. Buying one never consumes or resets the other.

What happens if I cancel Studio?

You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, then the account resolves to Free Preview. Cancel yourself from the billing portal in Settings — no email required.

Do I lose my work when I drop to Free?

Nothing is deleted. Any app covered by a Launch Pass stays fully unlocked. Of your remaining apps, the oldest one stays editable as your free preview app and the others become read-only — they come straight back the moment you resubscribe or buy a Launch Pass for them.

Who handles payment, tax, and invoices?

Polar is the merchant of record. Checkout, VAT and sales tax, invoices, and the self-serve billing portal all run through it, and card details never touch our servers.

CCredits
What is a credit, exactly?

A credit is the unit for AI generation. Generating a full workspace costs 10, regenerating a screenshot deck 6, re-translating one into another language 2, a marketing page 3, store listing copy 2, and a feature graphic, privacy policy, or terms document 1 each.

Does editing or exporting burn credits?

No. Only AI generation is billable. Editing text, swapping captures, changing the layout, re-exporting, and downloading a bundle again are all free and unlimited.

Do credits expire?

Monthly plan credits (Studio and BowlerKit) are a per-month quota: they expire at the end of the calendar month and do not roll over. Free Preview starter credits, Launch Pass credits, and purchased credit packs never expire.

Which credits get spent first?

Always the soonest-expiring ones, so your monthly quota is used before anything permanent. Launch Pass credits are the exception — they are tied to their app and can only be spent there.

What if I run out mid-launch?

A one-time pack of 100 credits is $15 and never expires. It is available to anyone on a paid plan or holding a Launch Pass.

DBowlerKit licenses
What is BowlerKit and how does it relate to this?

BowlerKit is the modular Expo and Flutter boilerplate that gets your app built. BowlerLaunch is the launch kit that gets it into the stores. They are separate products from the same ecosystem, and owning one gets you the other on better terms.

What does redeeming my license get me?

1 year of BowlerLaunch access with 100 AI credits every month, up to 10 workspaces, 50 saved templates, and full production export — no second subscription. Paste the key on the plans page and it activates immediately.

What happens after the 1 year?

Your account resolves to Free Preview. Nothing is deleted, Launch Pass apps stay unlocked, and you can pick up a Launch Pass or Studio whenever you need to export again.

Can I upgrade to Studio while my license is active?

Yes. Studio's 300 monthly credits replace the license's 100 if you need more generation headroom, and everything else carries on unchanged.

Still deciding? Build a free preview and judge the output before any card is involved.
